Our president at RStudio kicks my butt every week. Well, in his own words, he only "gently nudges" me. That is probably the most important explanation to my productivity.

As I said in the post https://yihui.name/en/2017/08/so-gh-email/ , I have to completely shut down all possible distractions (such as the email tab) when I need to get some serious work done.
