Unfortunately the publisher just forgot it... but they said it would be sent to Amazon today, and I do not know how long it will take to appear on Amazon.

I understand everybody wants a book for free, and it is not a good time yet to release everything (I also need to ask for permission because the author is not the copyright holder). Actually the source code of this book is not particularly interesting, since it has too many hacks, and can be misleading to beginners.

Anyway, I will try to make the request for the whole book to be freely available at some point.

toc选项可以打开，但我从来不用markdown写超长的文章，我只是用它写一些短小快速的文章而已，像日志这些东西很多时候也没必要分节，除非是写LaTeX写出强迫症来了……大型项目（例如这本书）我其实还是用LyX/LaTeX，markdown排纸版的书籍文章还不是时候，或者根本就不适合。

我看中toc是因为，我认为markdown最大的用途和优势在于做日常工作笔记，草稿，便笺，小型数据索引库，快速记事本。。之类，大杂烩，极其随意的东西。如果没有TOC，则不大适合写严肃正经或者长的东西，哪怕一片需要分章节的文章也不适合。
因此需要TOC，TOC在我说的应用场景的另外一个好处是，每个条目自然的也成为一个可以分享的链接，非常方便网上讨论问题。。

Calm, calm. You did not read this blog post carefully. I did say "What I could not reproduce were not really important", didn't I? None of the changes will really bite you.

It is not easy to create something that is forever reproducible, and I think it is entirely okay for certain non-essential things to be non-reproducible.
