The pioneers of authors and publishers are heroes to initiate such change. I think it takes courage to agree to make their work available to people in such a form when the paywall is high in many other fields. I believe in the long run, both authors and publishers will benefit from this new form of publishing. And most of all, your work has made the change possible.

When I see more and more amazing books available on bookdown.org, I also feel things are better and better. I bought some of those books in physical form to appreciate the courage of the authors and publishers, though I know such little effort is negligible compared with what they have done.
